Remote Working – An Alternate Reality

Remote working often used to strike fear in the hearts of employers, visions of late starts, staff still in pyjamas, television, distractions in the background, and more – all the worries that convinced some employers that remote working, whether at home or Starbucks was inefficient.

And then the reality of life changed, normal was gone, and for good.

Let’s make it a softer term now we know that it CAN and DOES work, whilst reserving some old school face to face time for the new world beckoning us. Call it a distributed workforce as opposed to remote working if it helps, and see the opportunity to instead reduce overhead, get rid of unnecessary satellite offices, and truly embrace the new ways of working. Sometimes the old ways are bad ways, and we need to remember work should be something that we do, NOT a place that we go to – often to just socialise, decorate a desk with pictures and personal crockery to feel safe in a nest work is a series of tasks that we perform for monetary gain, and ideally, personal fulfilment and self-improvement. So, businesses like ours are around to help drive this new methodology and to shape the new landscape by delivering;

  • Enterprise grade instant connectivity
  • Flexible and optimised end points
  • Low Opex replacing costly Capex
  • Subscription based purchasing behaviour
  • Flexible tenure supply contracts
  • Old school proper customer care

Now the reality is a very dangerous and sensitive time we live in, and not a time for a hard-sell, moreover a genuine consultative approach. When the dust settles and the sun shines brighter again, then it’s time to change your landscape.
